ART AUCTION IN AID OF ' NICOLE'S FUND FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST '
MARGATE HARBOUR ARM GALLERY, KENT
SATURDAY 8th AUGUST FROM 4PM ONWARDS
Auction of 100 anonymised postcard-sized pieces of original work by many professional artists including Tracey Emin, as well as
celebrities and members of the artistic public. Proceeds go to Nicole's Fund for Teenage Cancer Trust.
The concept is similar to the 'RCA Secret' event held at the Royal College of Art every year. 100 pieces of work are all in a
postcard-sized format. The list of artists is available so the buyers must guess who they think did each piece, and the identity of the
artist is not revealed until each one is sold. However, unlike RCA Secret where each piece has a fixed price, this work is being auctioned to the highest bidder.
This is an opportunity to spot work by a famous name, and potentially buy a bargain. It’s also a chance to invest in a piece by an emerging artist, or simply to find something you like, with all the proceeds going to a great charity.
Exhibition opening times:
Sat 1st - Fri 7th August 12 midday - 3 pm
Sat 8th August 10 am - end of auction
Sun 9th August 10 am - 5 pm (with artists’ names revealed)
The final catalogue with lot numbers and a description of each piece will be online here www.facebook.com/group.php?gid… on Sat 1st August. If you're not able to come to the auction you will still be able to place a bid. Full auction rules and details will also be online on Saturday.

I was very pleased to sell all 3 of my images in support of this very worthy cause... (for good amount of dosh too!)
Also very pleased that people buying the art were not aware of the artist until after the bidding was closed... There should be more of this idea.
